STATE OF DBD MOBILE #5: RITUALS AND REWARDS

September 13, 2019

Hello People of the Fog,

This week has been packed full of announcements and new things coming to DbD Mobile – keep reading to catch up on all of this week’s news.

Before we get into the updates, we’d just like to take a moment to apologize that Canada is not yet available as expected. We’ve run into some technical issues preventing us from opening Beta access, but it is a high priority to resolve – we’re really looking forward to meeting our Canadian players and we’ll update you as soon as it’s a go.

In the meantime, we’d like to give a huge thank you to all our Beta countries for the impactful feedback we’ve received. We’ve still got a long road ahead of us as we prepare for launch, but your support means the world to us.

In case you missed it, we currently have Beta tests open in Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, The Philippines, Mexico, Germany, and Australia.

Q&A Devstream

Last Monday we took the most popular community questions and brought our Game Designer (Diane Guillemont), and our Technical Artist (Laurent Dufresne) onto the devstream to answer. Thank you all for your participation, and we hope to introduce you to more of our team – let us know what kind of developers you’d like to hear from in future!

Getting a screencap where we’re not making weird faces is harder than it looks

We hinted at a lot of this new update’s content throughout the stream, but one thing we told you loud and clear is that we’re giving everyone a new Trapper mask, the Maple Leaf Trapper, in honour of our upcoming Beta release in Canada. All you need to do is log in, starting right now to claim this exclusive cosmetic!

Does this mean he sets Polar Bear Traps now?

If you missed the devstream, you can catch up on our YouTube channel.

New (to Mobile) Killer

We know we’ve kept you waiting, and he is here at last – this week we welcomed The Ghost Face to the playable character roster. We can’t wait to hear your feedback on this highly anticipated addition. Let us know what you think!

One of these faces is ghostier than the others.

If you’re new to the Dead by Daylight universe, read up on how to play or survive The Ghost Face here.

Daily and Weekly Rituals

While you’re logged in to claim your Login Reward, stay a while and knock out some Rituals for even more rewards. You may be familiar with the Daily Rituals from PC/Console, and while Mobile has a similar concept, there are some differences to note.

Deep Cleansing is great for avoiding NOED and also for your skincare routine

Every day, a new list of 5 Daily Rituals is generated, and must be complete within 24 hours. Daily Rituals will award Bloodpoints, and occasionally Items, Cosmetics, Iridescent Shards, or Auric Cells depending on the difficulty. Once per day, you will be able to refresh a Daily Ritual.

There is also a set of Weekly Rituals that are more challenging but yield even better rewards. You will have 5 days to complete these Rituals. Weekly Rituals will also award Bloodpoints, Cosmetics, Iridescent Shards, and Auric Cells.

Maybe your teammates will finally start repairing generators

New Login Rewards Calendar

Login Rewards cycles are a celebratory event to reward players for their continuing dedication to the game, and we think this new update is worth celebrating. Starting September 12th, a new Login Rewards event has started, and this time there are even more rewards available. In order to claim these, log into the game daily. Rewards are only available for so long, so make sure you log in often enough to collect them all – free Auric Cells are at stake!

When it takes 4 days to make pudding, you know it’s going to be good

Thank you, as always, for your support and your feedback as we continue our development. It’s a challenging project to port a legendary game to a whole new platform, and we are so grateful to all of you for following us every step of the way – we hope you’re as excited as we are to see what comes next!

See you in The Fog…
